Connect a custom domain to your bio page
Instead of using yeemel.com/p/your-name, display your bio page on your own domain (e.g., links.mysite.com).
Prerequisites#
- A Starter plan or higher
- A domain name that you own
- Access to your domain's DNS settings
Setup steps#
1. Add your domain#
- Go to Settings > Bio domain
- Enter your domain (e.g.,
links.mysite.comorbio.mysite.com) - Click Add
2. Configure DNS#
Yeemel provides a DNS record to add at your registrar:
- Type: CNAME
- Name: the chosen subdomain (e.g.,
links) - Value: provided by Yeemel (points to our Vercel infrastructure)
3. Automatic verification#
Once DNS is configured:
- Verification can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours
- Yeemel automatically checks that the DNS is correctly configured
- An SSL certificate is generated automatically
- Your bio page is accessible on your domain
Email sending domain#
Separately, you can also configure a domain for sending your emails:
- Go to Settings > Sending domain
- Add your domain (e.g.,
newsletter.mysite.com) - Configure the provided DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Your emails will be sent from your own domain
Important: The bio domain and the sending domain are two separate configurations. One is the address of your public page, the other is the sender address for your emails.
Troubleshooting#
- DNS not propagated: DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours depending on the registrar
- Configuration error: make sure you created a CNAME record and not an A record
- Subdomain vs. root domain: we recommend using a subdomain (
links.mysite.com) rather than the root domain
