The email editor

The Yeemel editor is a free-form rich text editor, like Gmail or Notion. You write freely, without imposed blocks, with full formatting options.

The editor interface#

The editor consists of:

  • The subject line field: the title of your email (what your contacts see in their inbox)
  • The content area: a free-form rich text editor where you type and format your text
  • The toolbar: all formatting tools
  • The sidebar: quality checker + statistics (words, images, links)

The toolbar#

The toolbar gives you access to:

  • Bold, Italic, Underline
  • Link: insert hyperlinks
  • Headings: H2 and H3 to structure your content
  • Lists: bulleted and numbered
  • Blockquote: styled quote block
  • Image: upload images directly into your newsletter

Image upload#

Click the image button in the toolbar to insert a photo into your newsletter. Image limits depend on your plan:

Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF (max 2 MB per image).

Product insertion#

If you sell digital products, you can insert them directly into your newsletter. Click Add a product and select the product — a styled card with the image, name, price, and purchase button is inserted into the editor.

AI text optimization#

Starting from the Starter plan, you have access to AI optimization. Select a passage of text and choose an action:

  • Clarity: simplifies complex text
  • Shorten: reduces by 25% without losing meaning
  • Persuasive: strengthens emotional impact
  • Professional: adopts a formal tone
  • Friendly: adopts a conversational tone
  • Add CTA: inserts a call to action

Quality checker#

The sidebar displays a quality indicator that automatically checks:

  • The length of your newsletter (ideal: 500-2000 characters)
  • The presence of links or CTAs
  • The quality of the introduction (first 100 characters)
  • The formatting variety (bold, italic, headings, etc.)

Preview#

Before sending, click Preview to see the final rendering of your email as your contacts will receive it.

Best practices#

  • Keep the subject line short and catchy (50 characters max)
  • Start with a sentence that makes readers want to continue
  • Use short paragraphs (2-3 lines max)
  • Include a single, clear call to action
  • Add at least one image to make your email more visual
  • Test your email by sending it to yourself first
